About Full Gospel Temple

New to FGT? lightnings of God Ministries SMTI

Full Gospel Temple.

In June of 1971 Dr. Charles Howard & Emma Inez Rothwell, by direction of the Holy Spirit, began worship services at 600 N. Cherry Street in Eaton, Ohio. They rented the former Evangelical United Brethren Church and later purchased that building.

The church was known as the “M. & M. Church” (Miracle & Missions Church). Dr. and Mrs. Rothwell were Missionary Evangelist for many years prior to birthing F.G.T. and miracles of healing and world wide missions became a trade mark for the church. The church is still operating under these principles.

In 1979, Rev. Raymond E. Rothwell and his wife Mary (son of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Rothwell) became pastor of the church with Dr. Charles Rothwell being his Associate Pastor. In 1980 it was necessary to build another building. A new facility was built at 4745 U S 127 N. Eaton, Ohio. Since then, we have had two major expansions to the property. In 2005 a multi-purpose facility, complete with a commercial kitchen, the Rothwell Family Life Center, was constructed. In 2009 an addition and renovation of the Family Life Center was completed adding a gymnasium and converting the original open space into training facility, class rooms and office complex. This is the present location of the church.

The vision of the church has not changed since its inception – that is to evangelize the community of Eaton, Ohio and Preble County with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. To help with this vision, the new Family Life Center opened in October 2005. Near the end of 2005, Pastor Rothwell announced his retirement effective July 2006.

On January 1, 2006, Rev. Kenneth E. Harbaum began his new role of Pastor at Full Gospel Temple. Miracles and missions are still a priority of the church under the direction of Pastor Harbaum and his wife Angel.

Full Gospel Temple is:

..."A Word of Faith Church"

We believe that God made provision in the Atonement for the whole man - Spirit, Soul and Body. We have prayers for the sick and afflicted in our services - Many have witnessed their healing through the"Prayer of Faith".

...An "Evangelical Church"

While we are an independant church, We believe that God loves people regardless of their denominational ties.

...A "Full Gospel - Pentecostal Church"

As the Bible says, "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh."(Joel 2:28) Therefore we believe that the Pentecostal experience is the blessing that God has for ALL born-again believers in these last days. We also believe that when you receive this experience from God that it will be with the same evidence as the Bible states in Acts 2:4 - "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

...a "Missions Church"

We have a worldwide missions outreach. The "sun never sets on the ministry of "FGT" as we reach out not only to our community but to the entire world. One of the highlights each year is our Annual Missions Conference, held in October, where missionaries and ministers come from all over the world and country.

...a "Discipling Church" (John 8:32)

We believe that it is the commandment of Jesus Christ to go and make disciples. Where it is a joy to see people born again and revived in their spirit, it is a great fullfillment to see them move on to become a disciplined follower of Jesus Christ.
